About

I’m Jide. I make software for the internet, and I’ve been doing it for over a decade.

I started my career in Lagos in 2013. I built enterprise systems, including an ATM battery-monitoring platform. At Softcom, I worked on platforms for MTN and a government learning platform. I then joined Andela, where I worked on backend services and distributed systems.

Since 2019 I’ve been at GetYourGuide, now as a Senior Software Engineer in the Catalog team. Before that I worked on Reviews, where I owned the domain.

How I work

I work with product managers to decide what to build and take responsibility for the technical design and implementation.

I enjoy mentoring engineers and supporting their career growth.

Outside work, I’m building Propklar to streamline property management for landlords in Germany.

Elsewhere in my life

Outside work, I enjoy running, cycling, playing piano and taking pictures.

I share my pictures at Pause and wonder and write about goals, values and life at Diary of the Brave.

I’m a husband and a father. Based in Germany.

You can get in touch if you’d like to talk.
